Gordon Pirie leaves for Norway: Gordon Pirie, Britain's cross-country champion, world record holder at six-miles, and the man who shock the athletic world last Saturday when he won the mile race at the White City, left London this morning for a holiday in Norway - a holiday that takes in four races at 1,500 metres (twice) 2,000 and 3,000 metres. Photo Shows Gordon Pirie, complete with the haversack arrives on the platform at Kings Cross this morning before he left on the Bergen Line boat train.
