The Fate of an Old Actor..: Who drinks and is discontent with life, is told by the film "Das Leben beginnt Um 8" (Life begin at 8). The old actor Mac Thomas lives with his daughter Cattrin in a small flat, much cared for by his daughter, but quarreling with life. But one day, a third man enters their life. He, an able composer, helps the actor to have a come-back, but also wants to have the daughter as his wife. A world collapses for the actor.
