Iraqi Foreign Minister Geneva: UN General Secretary Perez de Quellar hosted the first meeting between Iranian and Iraqi foreign ministers in Geneva on thursday. The two parties met for the first time in the same room and negotiated for over two hours. The main topic was UN resolution 598 which also formed the basis for the cease-fire on August 20.
