New Navy Takes First Licking: Nine Cadets of the Royal Malayan Navy arrived in Britain for two years at the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth. They will return to Singapore at the end of their training./ Probably the newest navy in the British Commonwealth, the Royal Malayan Navy was formed in 1939, disbanded in 1947, reformed Navy was formed in 1948 and became known under its present names only in May 1952. Picture Shows Maud, giraffe at the London Zoo, answers a long tongue offering at a tidbit from Pavithran Krishnan Nettur who was visiting London with fellow - cadet Kuttan Chitharanjan.
