Elizabeth breaks an all male monopoly! Hoping to break the all-male monopoly of the famous Sydney-Hobart yacht race next month is attractive, 22 year old Elizabeth Shaw, daughter of a consulting engineer of Bosham, near Chichester. As well as running a sail repairing business from the loft of her family's home, Elizabeth also finds the time to practice sailing every day. Coming from a family of keen sailors, Elizabeth is a very experienced sailor, having started at the early age of 18 months. And with her participation in three Fastnet races, she has as much racing experience as any man, and she has done literally thousands of miles of cruising. Attractive, 22 year old Elizabeth Shaw in her "wheelway' yacht, all her home made sails bear her name.
