Press Photo Exceptionally Small Shetland Pony "Crystal"

Making It Crystal Clear: No, Prince is not an exceptionally large dog. It simply seems so because Crystal is an exceptionally small horse! Crystal is a Shatland pony, in fact; a recent arrival at the Blue Meadow Stud, near Windsor in New South Wales, Australia. She stands only 18 inches tall - and she's grown two of those inches since she was born a week ago. The Shatlands may be tiny, but they are not weeklings some people might. Full-grown, they can pull a 20001b load or carry a 16 stone man with ease. They certainly breed 'em tough down under. Sharon Connolly (11) whose family owns the stud farm allows Crystal to snuggle up.
