1970 Press Photo Apaloosa Pony Given Name "Fancy Pants"

Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
Fancy Pants: That is the name given to the Apaloosa pony because of its markings. This breed of pony was formerly a Red Indian war pony, and his much favoured in America for cow-punching, because of a spectacular speed over a short sprint and its great agility and intelligence. "Fancy Pants" is showing a turn of speed on a ranch in Hunter River Valley, Australia.

Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches.

Photo is dated 02-02-1970.
