1982 Press Photo Japanese Self Defense Force Cadets Jumping

Camp Narashino, Japan: The Japanese self defense force has one Airbourn brigade, the first airbourn brigade, stationed at camp Narashino near Narita Airport of Tokyo. This is where the Brigade has its airbourn training school. Most of the cadets are just out of high school and the course is given through out of the year. The course takes five weeks in the fifth week the cadets complete five parachute jumps to earn their wings. The Japanese airbourn infantry jumps from a Japanese jet plane called A C-1 Chugata Yusoki (medium range transport). O.P.S. Cadets making their fourth and fifth final jumps to complete their five week course.
