Opening Of The Mayfair Parking Meter Scheme: The Parking Meter Scheme in London's Mayfair, came in to operation this morning. Motorists park their care in the Parking Meter Zone have to pay sixpence for an hour's parking and a shilling for two hours. The parking bays measure 20ft by 7ft. 6ins. Photo shows This was how Londonders beat the Parking Meter Scheme this morning. The TOP picture shows the scene in Grosvenor Square, with hardly any cars by the Parking Meters - whilst in South Audley-street, only fifty yards away, there were plenty of cars parked each side of the road - outside the Parking Zone.
