Description
Mrs. Curtis's problem can she give up baby chimp.: Can I let this baby go? That is the problem that faces Mrs. Maureen Curtis, aged 25. The baby is an 18-months old chimpanzee which Mrs. Curtis found in the jungle a year ago and brought him up like a real baby. Mrs. Curtis was going to part with him because she is expecting her first child in August. Mrs. Finch, mother of film star Peter Finch, offered to 'adopt' the chimp and go on bringing him up as Mrs. Curtis Had. But Mrs. Curtis finds it hard to part with Chimpy. He has always worn baby clothes and still wears nappies, so he's almost completely house-trained, she said. She and her husband are staying at Alston Crescent, Sunderland, on leave from Ghana. Chimpy eats bacon and egg and fish and chips, and if he goes, said Mrs. Curtis, I shall miss him terribly. Photo shows Mrs. Curtis pictured as she dresses Chimpy.

Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches.

Photo is dated 04-04-1968.
