1962 Press Photo Taffy the Goat to become the 5th Battalion Mascot

The terriers get their goat. A male white goat was presented to the Commanding Officer of the 5th Bn The Welch Rggt T.A./ Lt Col W. R. Davies, at the London Zoo today. The goat - to be named Taffy - the fourth - is to become the Regiment's mascot. Photo shows the goat being lifted - somewhat against its will - into a lorry for the journey to Wales after the presentation ceremony at the zoo this afternoon.
