A happy event at the Spotless giraffe : For the second time this year a happy event was registred in the giraffe enclosure in the Zoo at Basle. The beaming mother (our pix) who proudly contemplates her rather highnosed off spring, is a elderly lady who has been living in the Basle Zoo since 1956. Her son has been named 'Saba' and she takes very good care of him. It is expected that he will one day be loading as high a living as his mother.
