Description
A big treat for the children as Leo the Lion Cub visits Bedford market: Stallholders peered across their vegetables in sheer amazement in Bedford Market, and shoppers with their children began to back away warily they just couldn't believe their eyes. There, in the middle of the market, was a real lion cub. Leo, a one year old lion cub, made his starting appearance with his keeper, Mr.Roy Clarke, who runs Welling borough Zoo. He wasn't strictly on a social call. He was there as part of his training for a starring role in a new MGM film due to be made in September. Int he film Leo will have to walk through a crowded market place and as he had never experienced quite such raucous conditions, Mr.Clarke thought it would be a good idea to test his reactions. Photo shows Leo lies very passive as he gets a friendly pat from the children in Bedford Market.

Photo measures 8.25 x 10 inches.
