"Petfood" Horses - Arrive In Sydney Foals Born During Shocking Journey - Trampled To Death: The first batch of wild horses - that were caught in the greet round-up of wild horses - on the 4375 square mile Bulloo Downs in Queensland - have arrived in Sydney. Four thousand of them travelled in rail trucks for 34 hours without food or water - after having been driven hundreds of miles overland from Bulloo Downs to the railhead in the most shocking conditions. Foals born during transit were trampled to death by the bewildered horses. There is a great outery throughout Australia over the cruel treatment of the animals. It is claimed by the people responsible for the round-up - that 10,000 wild horses are roaming the Bulloo Downs - and that each animal eats twice much as any of the cattle on the property - and that they roll in water holes and pollute the water. Photo shows One of the many foals - which were born during the 34 hour rail journey - and which were trampled to death - is removed - on arrival in Sydney - after the "Shocking" transit across miles of Australia.
