Tall an Short Horse Tales-- The San Diego Zoo goodwill ambassador Joan Embery has the "Tallest and the Shortest" of the Horse world at her Lakeside ranch. Lakeside Lover, a miniature horse colt, is only about the size of 6-yera-old Melody the Clydesdale's head. Miniature horses are real horses and not ponies, and must be registered in the International Miniature Horse association. Their Maximum adult height can be more than 34 inches at the shoulder.
