1964 Press Photo Prime Minister of Ceylon Sirimavo Bandaranaike

Mrs. Bandaranaike arrives with Buddha Relic. The Prime Minister of Ceylon , Mrs. Sirimavo Bandaranaike, arrived at London Airport last night, bringing with her a gold casket containing a relio of Buddha. It is a small piece of bone from the ashes of Buddha after his cremation 2,500 years ago . On Sunday it will be enshrined at the new Buddhist Vihara in Heathfield Gardens, Chiswick. Photo shows Mrs.Bandaranaike holds the casket on arrival at London Airport.
