Mr. Maurice Macmillan launches Campaign to remind employers of the equal pay act: Mr. Maurice Macmillan, Secretary of State for Employment today launched a campaign to remind employers of their obligations under the Equal Pay Act, 1970. He has sent a letter to 400,000 firms and industrial and commercial organisations with a new booklet "Equal Pay - What are you doing about it". The Equal Pay Act was passed by the Labour Government in 1970. Photo shows Mr. Maurice MacMillan speaking at today's press conference at the Department of Employment, St. Jame's Square.
