On July 8, 1975, the Prime Minister of Israel, Yitzhk Rabin and his wife arrived in the Federal Republic of Germany. On their first day, the Israeli guests visited the former concentration camp Bergen Belsen near Hanover. On the same day they continued their trip to Berlin where they stayed until the next day. On July 9th, the Israeli Prime Minister had talks with Chancellor Schmidt and the Minister of Economic Cooperation, Egon Bahr in Bonn. On July 10th, he met with Foreign Minister Canscher, the Minister of Finance as well as with representatives of the German industry, the German Israeli society and the executive committees of the Social Democratic and the Christian Democratic parties. At the end of his visit, Rabin was received by Federal President Walter Scheel.
