The man who becomes chief cashier of the Bank of England: The Bank of England announced last night that Mr. Leslie Kenneth O'Brien, who is 46, has been appointed Chief Cashier in succession to Mr. P.S. Beale. Mr. O'Brien joined the Bank in 1927 at the age of 19. He was appointed Deputy Chief Cashier in 1951 and has had extensive experience of exchange control as well as home finance. Photo Shows Mr. Leslie Kenneth O'Brien pictured at home last night.
