Blind and almost deaf British woman gets her great wish. Visits the La Scala Opera House.: One great wish for 38 year old Mrs. Gwendie Obern from Abendare, Glamorganshire was to visit the famous La Scala Opera house, Milan - and listen to a performance for Mrs. Obern is blind and is rapidly losing here hearing. She wanted here wish grandted before her hearin finally vanished. The Management of the Opera House invited her as their guest. Also in the audience at the time was Gionvanni Gronchi the Italian President. Photo shows Mrs. Gwendie Obern and friend talk over items of the visit in Milan.
