Arne Lier of 89 Pine Street, Millburn, Chief Structural Engineer in the Engineering Department of the Port of New York Authority, Today was Awarded The Bi-State Agency's Howard S. Cullman Distinguished service medal for his "Outstanding Record of Exceptional service int the last 40 years and his remarkable professional accomplishments in the field of structural design. "Mr. Lier, who was cited by the Metropolitan Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers as Metropolitan Civil Engineer of the year, is Particularly known for his outstanding design work on the George Washington Bridge, La Guardia Airport Runway Extensions and the World Trade Center. Vice Chairman James C. Kellogg, III and Executive Director Austin J. Tobin made the presentation at the port Authority's Annual medal award ceremonies held at the Startler Hilton Hotel, New York City, at 3:00 O'clock this afternoon.
