Diet election in Bavaria On November 22nd, 1970: Foreign Minister Walter Scheel drinks a glass of beer (picture) in peace and calmness after the end of the discussions in Warsaw and the difficulties of the Geldner-affair and just before the important diet election in Bavaria (Germany). Secretary of the State, Frau Hamm-Brucher, and Minister of Agriculture, Josef Ertl (however just on the poster) join him. Should the FDP not succeed this time in getting the necessary votes of 10% in an electoral district of Bavaria - Walter Scheel will have 11% - 14% in any case, however only in his beer.
