Big Ben Centenary Ceremony And Exhibition Plaque Presentation In New Palace Yard: A ceremony and exhibition is being held in New Palace Yard today to commemorate the 100th. birthday of Big Ben (May 31st). A Plaque was presented to the Minister of Works by the Speaker. The plaque bears a commemorative inscirpts which will be carved in a panel on the north of clock tower.
