Countess Mountbatten opens "The house of Citizenship" for training of Future wives of Diplomats Etc. The Countess Mountbatten yesterday visited "The house of citizenship" - Har twell house, Aylesbury, Bucks. to perform the official open-inf ceremony. It is a training centre where young ladies receive instruction in citizenship as well as commerce. Idea of the school is to give the Droper type of education and instruction to young women two will probably be the wives of diplomats of the future. They learn about Commonwealth Relations - International Affairs - Local Government etc. Most of the students come from the United Kingdom -But quite a number are from other parts of the world. Hartwell house is situated in beautiful grounds. Photo shows some of the International students watch while Countess Mountbatten tries out one of the comfortable armchairs in the lounge of Hartwell house.
