Meeting of Common Market Foreign Minister in Munich: On November 19th, 1970 the six foreign Ministers of the Common Market countries had a meeting in Munich. Thus Munich became the capital of Europe for one day. The aim of this political meeting should be to discuss also political questions ''with one voice''. Following foreign Minister were invited: Maurice Schumann (France), Pierre Harmel (Belgium), Joseph Luns (Netherlands), Gaston Thorn (Luxembourg) and Mario Pedini (Itl). During this meeting the ministers wanted to work on a common point of view of three difficult problems: the Near - East problem, proposal of the Socialist countries to call a common safety conference and the relationship between the Soviet Union and the Common market. Photo shows German Foreign Minister Walter Scheel enter his name into the visitor's book of the Bavarian Government (r) the Bavarian Minister President Alfons Gopper(l.).
