Description
The situation on this photo.........'looks rather critical'. Opinion is opposite to opinion - the lifted forefinger of both interlocutors says everything. But certainly the opinion of this talk wasn't very contrary and certainly Semjon Zarapkin doesn't leave Bonn (Germany) because of this talk in order to be replaced by his successor Walentin Falin. Moskow will send 44-years-old Walentin Falin, former manager of third European Department of the Soviet Foreign Ministry, as new ambassador to Bonn. He will replace 67-years-old Zarapkin, ambassador, who is said to retire. Before Falin and Zarapkin, Sorin and Smirnow were ambassador in Bonn. Photo shows Secretary for foreign affairs, Walter Scheel, and Ambassador Semjon T Sarapkin some time ago during a talk in Bonn.

Photo measures 8.25 x 6 inches.

Photo is dated 1-14-1971.
