1979 Press Photo Lord Mountbatten Coffin Arrival Eastleigh Being Carried

Lord Mountbatten's body arrives at Eastleigh; The bodies of Earl Mountbatten of Burma, his 14 year old grandson, Nicholas Knatchbull, and the Dowager lady Brabourne, arrived at Eastleigh Airport, Hants, after being flown from Dublin in an RAF Heroules. They were met by Prince Philip and Prince Charles, after which they left for the home of Lord Mountbatten at Broadlands. Photo Shows The coffin of Lord Mountbatten is see leaving the aircraft carried by Airmen.
