1980 Press Photo Countess Mountbatten presents apprentice awards

Countess Mountbatten presents apprentice awards; Countess Mountbatten of Burma today presented the apprentice awards at the Ministry of Defense. The ministry of Defense is Britain's largest employer of apprentices. Every year a competition for final year apprentices takes place and today the countess gave out the awards including, that to the apprentice of the year 21 year old Andrew Easdwon of Chatham Naval Base.
