Plaque unveiled in memory of the late field marshal Sir William Slim at St. Paul's Cathedral.: A Plaque to the memory of the late Field Marshal Sir William "Bill Slim" was unveiled by his widow in the crypt of St. Paul's Cathedral, this afternoon. The address was ready by Earl Mountbatten of Burma, and about 2000 members of the Burma Star Association attended the service. Their standards linded the steps outside the cathedral. Photo shows Earl Mountbatten of Burma seen arriving at St. Paul's for the unveiling and service to the late Field Marshal Slim - next to him is Maj-gen William Abraham National Chairman of Burma Star Association.
