Plaque unveiled in memory of the late field marshal Sir William Slim at St. Paul's Cathedral.: A Plaque to the memory of the late Field Marshal Sir William "Bill Slim" was unveiled by his widow in the crypt of St. Paul's Cathedral, this afternoon. The address was ready by Earl Mountbatten of Burma, and about 2000 members of the Burma Star Association attended the service. Their standards linded the steps outside the cathedral.
