Police clash with demonstrators in Brussels, demand assistance for Belgians in troubled Congo Republic: There were a number of clashes between police and demonstrators in Brussels yesterday when a crowd 2,000 strong tried to march on King Baudouin's Palace. The demonstrators want King Baudouin and the Belgian Government to take further steps to protect Belgian from rebel troops in the Congo Republic.
