American atomic submarine-Skipjack - arrives at Portland: The American atomic submarinem Skipjack, was three hours late arriving at Portland today, having been held up by strong winds and fog after leaving Londonderry yesterday. On board the submarine was British Commander B. Samborne, who is to be the first captain of the British Atomic submarine, Dreadnought. The Skipjack is America's sixth and latest atomic submarine. Photo shows (L to R), after greeting their wives when coming ashore at Portland, are: Commander B. Samborne, who will captain the first British atomic submarine, Dreadnought, and his wife, and Mrs. Behrens, with her husband, Commander W.W. Behrens, of the Skipjack.
