Press Photo "Germans help Germans" campaign for refugees

"Germans help Germans". Under this slogan they started in Cella and aid-campaign for all Lower Saxonia for refugees from the Soviet zone. The first step for this campaign which might be taken as an example came from the city council of Celle. The beginning of this aid-campaign was a three-hours collection staged by 500 Cells children who collected during this time three truck-loads and a horse-drawn cart full of clothing, shoes, toys and household furniture and implements. Most of the things was as good as new.
