1959 Press Photo Worlds Largest Hanger Under Construction Frankfurt Airport

Worlds largest hanger under construction: A giant Hangar which will give place for three jet-planes and four big prop-planes, is now under construction at Frankfurt airport. The butterfly-wings of the hanger arise from the centre of the building, where the workshops for the mechanics are located. The hangar is built for the German Airlines, but until they have their jetliners delivered, other airlines can use the giant hall for checkups of their planes.
