Tender "Elbe" of the Federal Navy put into commission: The tender "Elbe" of the Federal navy has been put into commission at the Schlieker-Werft (Schlieker-Werft) in Hamburg, this morning. The boat which disposes of a most modern armament and also can be committed for the drill of fast boats, will serve the 2. Schnellbootgeschwader (Fast boat Squadron) for the purpose of supply, equipment, quarters and repair, the tender shall make the fast boats as indipendent as possible of the land bases. The crew under lieutenant commander Kolzer (Kolzer) consists of 110 soldiers. Photo shows On Tuesday, April 17th the tender "Elbe", the second boat of this type was put into commission at the Schlieker-Werft in Hamburg.
