Resignation Of NATO-Supreme-Commander Haig: At June 30th of this year Alexander M. Haig (ALEXANDER M. HAIG, picture) resignes from his job as Commander-in-Chief of the NATO in Europe. It is supposed, the four-star-general, which an half year ago suddenly reported his resignation, intends to run now his political plans. General Haig got, 1947 his commission on military-cademy West Point, became deputy-chief of the staff of US-Army and finally in December 1974 Supreme Allied Commander Europe. Haigs successor will be General Bernard W. Rogers.
