Son of Indian Rajah on forged cheque charge, his family worth "millions'; Twenty one year old Muthiah Ramaswamy - son of a Millionaire Indian Rajah appeared at the Old Bailey yesterday - pleeding "Not Guilty" to charges of obtaining shoes and suits with forged cheques taken from his best friend's cheque book. So wealthy was his family the Judge was told that he could have "almost unlimited money for the asking". He had ~50,000 in shares worth about ~5,000 a year. He was staying in a London flat at ~50 a week and if any member of his family were to spend ~100,000 the rest would not notice it. Photo Shows Muthiah Ramaswamy seen outside the court yesterday.
