February 1st 180: 55. Birthday Of Alfred Grosser: 55 years old get at February 1st 1980 the French historian and publisher Alfred Grosser. Grosser is born in West -Germany. His native - town in Frankfurt/Main; in the year 1933 his parents had to emigrate to France. There, alter he becomes member of the resistance movement. As an ardent European soon after the end of the second World War he started to work for an understanding between the two states. Alfred Grosser wrote for several French papers, he also was the publisher of the paper "Allemagne", and also a permanent professor of the Bologna center school for advance studies (Italy) , the John Hopkins university and the standford university California /USA. Since 1956 he is professor for politics at the University of Paris/France. His numberless books deal with the present-day politic of France and West-Germany. Among the lot of awards which grosser recevie are the "Great Federal cross of Merita" (1975), the "Goethe-Medal " and The pre-was prize of the German book Trade' (1975).
