Peculiar screech - The mayor of Ochsenfurt Dr. Oechsner keeps a peculiar screech- owl in the town hall: a silver drinking cup in owl's shape about which the old town chronic says it is a "monument of old joy of drink". But it is not the original "old" owl which was given to the Ochsenfurt people in 1611, but a newly made image of the original which got lost. The owl-cup will only be given to notorious guests of the city, but it will hot have to be emptied in one ~raught, and the guests will like that very much for the screech owl has a holding capacity of 1 1/2 litres.
