Dr. Gerhard Herzberg: the German born Canadian professor won the 1971 Nobel Prize for Chemistry for his research in the structure of the molecule and his contributions to the knowledge of electronic structure and geometry of molecules. Dr. Herzberg is since 1948 with the Research Council of Canada, and since 1969 Distinguished Res. Scientist, Div. of Physics of the NRC.
