Gunman emerges from besieged cottage to collect food.: John James, the Shropshire gunman besieged in his cottage at Weston-under-Red castle emerged fir the first time yesterday to collect groceries from. He carried his shotguns under his arms. James walked six paces to an outhouse wall and collected loaf of bread, a tin of luncheon meat, butter and water left by Mr. To~ Hedlington, his brother in law. He turned and went inside. it is now six days since James barricade himself in the cottage with his wife, Joyce and four young children.Photo shows John James appears at the window of the besieged cottage.
