Description
Croat leader declares impeachment by yugoslav consul as false. Dr. Branco Jelic (Dr. Branco Jelic), a medical practitioner living in Berlin, was recently characterized by the Yugoslav consul in Muenchen Predrag Grabovac (Predrag Grabovac) as a "nazi-spy" ; the consul made this assertion when he at same time protested against public charges in Germany that he is a murderer. Dr. Jelic (our pix) replies that in the thirties he was in Germany 25 times imprisoned by the Gestapo, succeeding to escape from the 3rd Reich in 1939 and that he was living then in England up to 1949. He is chairman of the Croat National Committee an organisation which represents democratic aims as he asserts.

Photo measures 6 x 8.5 inches.

Photo is dated 12-12-1961.
