British reverend climbs Mount Eiger. When collecting money to build a home for dull children, reverend Lloyd Jenkins from London had promised to climb the famous Mount Eiger in Bernese Oberland (Switzerland) in case he would get the necessary sum of 10'000 Pounds. He got the money and went straight on to Switzerland, where he succeeded, with the help of a guide, to reach the top of Mt. Eiger (400 meters-high).
