Cartier Manager Sacked over Gems Blunder: A former salesman for Cartier, the Royal Jewelers, Mr. Patrick Argellies, denied in court yesterday that he and a colleague, a Mr. Jacques Esnault, Cartier's former commercial manager, stole the £204,000 worth of Jewels which the Duchess of Bedford's a daughter-in-law Mrs Kitty Milinaire, 39, is accused of taking from the shop. Mr. Nicholas Gardiner, counsel for Mrs Milinaire, made the accusation when cross-examining Mr Patrick Argellies who is appearing for the Crown, The crown alloges that Mrs. Milinaire stole the items of Jewelery from Cartier by taking them away on "approval" and without being asked paying them.
