Ten-year-old Christine sees $7,000 Mail Bag Robbery - and tells detectives all about it: Ten-year-old Christine Firestone was skipping her way home down a narrow, cobbled back street in Marylebone yesterday when she saw five masked men ambush a post office mail van. she saw the bandits drag out the driver and his mate, and then escape in a car with three begs full of registered packet containing $7,000. Then fair-haired Christine told detectives all about it. She told them that the men wore black stocking over their faces and how she ran to the driver of the mail van and told him their was a phone box just round the corner where he could dial 999. Photo shows Christine, clasping her hands, gives detectives her eye-witness account of the $7,000 mail van robbery.
