Father of the "Arriflex" honorary doctor: Engineer August Arnold (AUGUST ARNOLD) received on Nov. 23rd the title of an honorary doctor of the School of Technology of Munich. The now 63 years old pioneer of the German film technique has brought his constructions from very small be beginnings to international importance. Since the thirties, there has been no camera for news (news reel or television) used so much as the Arriflex as the best, easiest and most useful camera, always being improved again by Arnold. Already before the war, the Arriflex with its accessories was an important export article of Germany. Picture shows Dr. h.c. Arnold in the School of Technology in Munich.
