1959 Press Photo Madelaine Jenkins the Child Poet Wrote of Her Own Death & Died

Madelaine the child poet said "I am about to die". Ten year old Madelaine Jennings of Valley Road, Nottingham - had been seeming herself a name as a poet - a child genius. Some of her poems were very good - in fact one of them had been broadcast by the B.B.C. suddenly her writings became sad - and she began tailing about her own death. on Wednesday she walk in the her mother's bedroom and said "Mummu", I can' get my breath, I think I am going to die. An hour later she was dead. The coroner found that she died from - an acuce and rather rare throat infection but no one could explain hr premonition. photo shows Madelaine Jeskigs the child peer.
