"New World' Pop Group - Try out the new topper shows. Group from "Down Under': John Kane, John Lee and Mel Nochan the Popular Australian group were to be seen in King's Road, Chelsea today - trying out some of the new 1971 'Topper' shoe styles. There are many bold new designs including smart zebra skin cork and leather "wedges' and a new super shoe with Cuban heel which won a major design award in Italy. The shoes include a range of traditionally styled designs which would not disgrace the stock Exchange. Photo shows John Kane (left) wears brocade boots priced at 25gns; while in centre John Lee sports "Zebra' a design at 16 Gns, and on the right Mel Noonan wears medallion shoes - prices 10 gns.
