The traditional Blessing of the Throat Ceremony was carried out this morning at St .Etheldreda's, Holbein, this morning - know as the Feast of st. Blaise. It is said that in A.d. 316, Blaise , while he was being marched to his execution, saw a child choking with a fish bone in her throat, He touched her throat and healed it.
