Workers' Thanksgiving Service: Taking delivery of some best household nuts at the altar of St. Barnabas Church on the G.L.C.'s Downham council estate yesterday - the Rt. Rev. David Sheppard, Bishop Suffragan of Woolwich, accepting a gift from Mr. Lal Roff, 47, a local coalman, during a workers' thanksgiving service. The congregation included nurses, dustmen and cleaners who carried the tools of their trade.
