This statue by Sir Jacob Epstein. depicting a mother holding her dead son , was unveiled at Congress House, London today as a memorial to the Trade Unionists who lost their lives in two world wars... The unveiling was part of the formal ceremony of inauguration of the building as the new headquarters of the Trades Union Congress.
